THE ADVISOR

Pay it forward using our Playbook to help an Apprentice confidently negotiate their worth in the workforce.

Advisor Role and Responsibilities

1.

To provide objective guidance and support, not guaranteed outcomes, using the Playbook as a guide.

Advice applied is at the sole discretion of the Apprentice.

2.

To be behind the scenes and not “employer facing” during any part of compensation discussions, either in person, on calls or in writing (cc’d in emails).

3.

To not offer any legal or financial advice that replaces an accountant, lawyer, or financial advisor, including advice provided on employment contracts.

4.

To respect the confidentiality of the Apprentice’s employment circumstances and any confidential information shared (e.g. previous or current salary) is at the sole discretion of the Apprentice.

5.

To be conflict free and not benefit financially, reputationally, or otherwise from the Apprentice’s career outcome.

Any conflicts of interest should be disclosed immediately to Until There Are Nine™.

6.

To give the Apprentice your time and attention within reasonable and appropriate timeframes and maintain a professional and respectful demeanor.

What Else You Need To Know

Each Apprentice circumstance will be different.

Some may need the full range of help as provided in the Playbook while others may simply need pep talks throughout their negotiation period.

1:1 support and attention is incredibly meaningful

If you are not able to give your time and attention because of other commitments, please let us know asap so we may match them to another Advisor.

The Playbook is to serve as a guide.

Use your real-life experience to supplement the Playbook and provide feedback so we can keep the Playbook updated.

The Apprentice is ultimately accountable.

Once a match is made, it is the responsibility of the Apprentice to reach out, schedule calls and put in the work.
